JMW Solicitors LLP's corporate team has grown with the recruitment of three solicitors, Sara Bluston, Mona Niayesh and newly qualified Kate Wagstaffe. Rachel Dudley has also joined the intellectual property team with six trainee solicitors recruited across various departments.

The news is in addition to staff who joined following the acquisition of Goodman Harvey in June.

And to keep up with the growth JMW has leased 9000 ft of space in the Old School House, which was the firm’s office until 2006.

JMW senior partner Joy Kingsley said the appointments were great news.

She said: “We are pleased to welcome all of our new starters who have joined us over the summer. All our departments seem to be flourishing at the moment and we are delighted with how the firm is continuing to grow and prosper. It has been a very busy time at JMW over the last few years and our continued growth has meant the need for us to occupy more office space as we now have over 230 staff based in Spinningfields compared with 150 three years ago.”

In May 2013 JMW announced that income at the firm was up by 13 per cent from £13.2m to £15m and profit jumped by 25pc.

This year has seen further growth with revenues up 30pc on the same five-month period last year.

Other appointments include solicitors Julian Rogozinski and Emma Townley, who have joined the commercial property team and Paul Burton who has become an associate.

JMW’s Commercial Litigation team has taken on two newly qualified solicitors, Stephen Reynolds and Nathan O’Connor and the clinical negligence team has recruited Ciaran Harper.

Scott Ritchie has joined the residential conveyancing team while the company's costs team have grown from one person to a team of five in five months.

Bill Jones, Managing Partner at JMW, said: “We looked at several options when we realised that we would need more office space to meet with the demand for our growing number of staff and Partners. I was delighted when it became clear that our best option was to lease the whole of the Old School House, which was our office until 2006. It is great news that we are all able to stay on one site.”
