Associations & Memberships

British Franchise Association

The British Franchise Association (bfa) promotes ethical franchising practice in the UK, in order that the industry continues to develop credibility, influence and favourable circumstances for growth. It plays an important role in helping potential franchisees recognise the good and the not-so-good franchise opportunities for what they are, while also helping franchisors secure their own place amongst the ‘good’ franchises. As the only self-regulatory body for the UK franchising industry it has a strict standards-based approach to membership, and to attain bfa accreditation, franchisors and professional advisors must put themselves forward to be tested against the association’s extensive criteria.Roz Goldstein speaking at BFA event Only if they successfully pass accreditation are they then able to join the bfa as members, gain access to the benefits of membership and to be represented by the British Franchise Association. Goldstein Legal has been an Affiliate Member of the bfa since 2007 and speaks regularly at bfa-sponsored events and symposiums.
